Very odd start to the day today.
Nick has been suspiciously nice to me. He was pleasant this morning and even said hello.
I was starting to think... well, I don't really know what I was starting to think but it did throw me a bit... all this being human and normal from him.
And then it happened!
The question he must have been building up to for a few days.
"Can I borrow some money?"
I was washing up the crap he'd left in the kitchen at the time. It was one of those questions you hear but think you must have misheard because there is no way in his right mind he could have asked that.
Then I realised that of course, this is Nick we are talking about and his right mind is vastly different from anyone else's.
So when I turned round and asked him to repeat it (just in case - you know - benefit of the doubt and all that) he asked if he could borrow £62.00
Now that is a fairly specific amount of money. And given that he has been unable to contribute to household or food shopping for a good 6-7 weeks, naturally I wanted to know what he wanted it for.
I got a whole load of crap about needing a replacement tyre and how he had a puncture in Cornwall. Except of course, he was in Cornwall over New Year and that means he has been driving on the spare tyre since then. So I asked why he couldn't just continue to do so until he gets paid in one week.
Then it came out that he was going to change the tyre and give the wheel to a friend.
Eh? WTF!?
This doesn't ring true to me at all now. Especially as he is playing the noun game and this friend doesn't have a name or a gender!
So I asked, as he was so busy concentrating on getting his story straight, if she could wait til the end of the month. The response was along the lines of "no she... they... can't".
Hahahahahahaha
Apparently the friend is someone he has been talking to from the local MS group. He's been up till 2am, sometimes 3am chatting on msn lately... quite possibly to this friend I am guessing.
God! I really hope it is someone he could potentially have as a girlfriend / boyfriend / partner (I don't care which)!
I do actually mean that.
Maybe if he gets a girlfriend then he will cheer the fuck up, stop being a grumpy, manipulative bastard, and get on with the business of living life while he still on the planet!
Needless to say I have not lent him the money on account of the fact that I don't fucking have any because I have had to pay for all the sodding shopping for the past 7 weeks!

Well we aren't talking high class here, £60 for the girl and £2 for the maid as a tip! LOL
