Happy New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Here's hoping 2009 is a better year than the last one.

I saw the new year in with Keith at a great party held at Evolution in Westcliffe. We had a really fun night and it was good to be with friends.

As usual, Keith and I tarted up for the occasion....

Lazy Day

Did absolutely bugger all today!

Mooched about Mum's house, played with kids, nipped up to the bank and paid my insurance cheque in so I don't starve over the next month - the car will have to continue to be paid monthly for the time being - despite being a total write-off.

Quiet night in with the kids - should have been an early night but wasn't!

A Day of Farewells

Linda's last day today. She made a really yummy lunch - Xmas Pie - a kind of Shepherds Pie style affair made of leftover turkey, ham and potatoes.

Keith, Sam and I drove her to Chelmsford to catch her 4pm bus this afternoon. It was lovely to see her - hopefully won't be too long before we get to go and see her again.

And for me, I left at 7pm to drive back to London and wait for Gemima to get back from Cornwall. She was supposed to be back between 7-8pm but as Nick was still in Cornwall when I spoke to him at 1pm, I guessed she would be a fair amount later!

I've had a lovely Christmas week. Can't wait to get back and see Keith for New Year. We'll be going out to Evolution.

Gemima made it to Mum's at 11:45pm in the end. She had her xmas stocking - the rest of her prezzies she can open tomorrow. It's so nice to see her.

Once she'd gone to sleep, Aaron and I sat up chatting, him playing his PSP and me talking to Keith on MSN.

Going to sleep tonight will be strange. I've spent the last 5 nights cuddling up in a comfy bed with Keith and falling asleep on his shoulder. Being alone on a sofa doesn't really compare.

Hockey In Romford and Dinner at TGI's!

Had a great day today. Another lie in. Its nice to have snuggles and not have to get up for anything.

We decided this morning that it would be nice to go see hockey today so off we trekked to the ice rink in Romford. It was easy to find and made a change from going to Chelmsford.

The Chieftains beat the Romford Spitfires 6-2. It was a good game, even if we did view it through nets rather than plexi, which was weird and a little distracting!

Hockey was followed by a brief detour around Romford as I got in the wrong lane and had to trn right instead of left and there was no place to do a U turn!

We headed down the A127 and stopped off in "Bas Vegas" for dinner at TGI Friday's courtesy of Keith. Thank you Keith!! JD Ribs... oh yeah!!!

Lazy Morning, PS3, Sack Boy and Bond

Had a lazy morning, starting the day with a lie in, followed by a brief bit of shopping in ASDA (just me) while Keith and Sam continued their quest to get the end of Little Big Planet.

We had an early dinner as Sophie and Shane were collected by Fi at 3.00.

The evening consisted of more PS3 hysteria, followed by Casino Royale, all accompanied by me finishing my knitted doll for Gemima and starting on Sack Boy!! Couldn't find a pattern aywhere so am making it up as I go along! Here goes nothing!!!!

Boxing Day / Christmas Plus

It was a second Christmas celebration today for both Keith and for me... just in two different places.

Sophie and Shane came over to Keith's today as they were with Shane's family yesterday. Another round of present giving between Keith, Sam, Linda, Sophie and Shane. Then Aaron and I made our way back to London through a 2 hour traffic jam, to my Sister's house, where Aaron and I did the present thing again!

It was nice to be with my family. I wore one of the dresses Keith had bought me for Christmas and got a lot of comments about how lovely it is and how well Keith knows my taste!

Stayed until about 8pm then dropped my mum back to her house as Jamie and Aaron had left hours earlier to go and play with new console games!

Made my way back to Keith's for about 9:30 to find Keith and Sam in fits of hysteria playing Little Big Planet! A very silly but very funny game. The pic below shows the cover of the game, featuring the main character, Sack Boy!

I've been knitting a lot lately and Keith has now challenged me to knit him his own sack boy!

It Was a Merry Christmas After All!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! I am very happy to say that I have had a really good Christmas!

Last night was fun. The boys seemed to be getting on OK, which was a huge relief to me.

Everyone went to bed late. Keith and I sat up later watching DVD's in bed (although I did nod off!).

We did the Santa thing at about 2am but weren't too quiet about it. Sam's bedroom door creaks very loudly which was cause for childish giggles! The floor in the roon Aaron was in also creaks so I had to get out quick before I laughed.

We were pretty rubbish - we managed to wake them both up! It was about 10 minutes before we heard Sam's bedroom door open and him retrieve the bag of goodies Keith had left hanging on the door handle!

Woke up at a relatively normal hour this morning and lazed about in bed listening to clattering sounds from the kitchen and at one point, Sam going into the room Aaron was in.

The boys seemed to like their Santa goodies, which consisted mainly of silly stuff (pens, toy guns, balloons, puzzles, santa hat) and sweets!

Linda made breakfast (sausages!) and at midday we poured a drink and sat round the tree where Sam was postman and handed out prezzies.

Lovely dinner followed by much lazing about, watching TV, eating and drinking!

One of the high points for me was Keith cuddling me, saying he loves me and telling me he'd had a lovely day.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Its Off To Keith's We Go...

Managed to successfully get the tumble dryer and a bookcase in the back of the Polo - the thing is somewhat TARDIS-like with the seats folded down!

They are now moved into their new temporary home in Keith's garage, where they will stay until I have a place of my own.

It all feels a little strange not having the girls with me on Christmas Eve. I really don't like it at all. At least I have Aaron with me. Am hoping he and Sam will be able to get on with each other for a few days at least.

Aaron has been refusing to come lately because (he told Jade this, not me) he feels that Sam doesn't like him and he feels uncomfortable and isolated.

*sigh*

Why does everything have to be so difficult?

Early Start

After a Co-Dydramol induced sleep I was up bright and early (5:30!) this morning, spent an eon under a nice hot shower, then headed off to do battle in Sainsbuty's for Christmas crackers, Pepsi Max and Cocoa!

The house is empty so my brother has agreed, on the principle of pissing Nick off, to come and help get my tumble dryer, hostess trolley and a variety of other things this morning.

The tumble dryer will be going to Keith's, provided I can get it in the back of the Polo!

Ugggh

Forgot to blog yesterday that I fell down the stairs at Mum's.

Headfirst no less! It was really quite spectacular and must have looked hilarious.

Sadly, today I REALLY, REALLY hurt!

Flying (or falling spectacularly) is not a good idea anyway much less with whiplash!!

Painkillers and an early night for me tonight I think.

*sigh*

Only me!!!! Tut!!

:o)

She Got There OK

Just got a text from Alex to say that they got to Nick's sister's OK.

I can go to sleep now. Was anxious about Nick doing that drive - has taken 7 hours.

Keith's Prezzie

Been teasing Keith for a while now about his Christmas prezzie.

Today was no exception - only this time I sent him a picture of it too...

The response I got from him via text.... "ha bloody ha"

Excellent!!!

Early Christmas Prezzie

Went to visit my friends Michael and Michelle this afternoon. In fact I was with Michelle when Nick called about going to Cornwall.

It was nice to see them and the kids - I realised I haven't been round for almost a year now. Stayed til Eastenders came on and then left to come over to Karen's for the night.

I'd brought Karen's Christmas prezzie with me and as her ex has also managed to royally piss her off, we thought we'd cheer each other up and do the present thing early.

This is a pic of what she bought for me. Its fabulous and I love it!!!!

Apologies for the crap photo quality, they were taken on my phone.

And this is what she MADE for me! How talented is she?!?!?

It'll Be Not Quite Such A Merry Christmas As I'd Hoped For...

True to his usual form, Nick has managed to disrupt things for everyone else this Christmas.

I should have known. Despite my best efforts to organise everything and actually plan who would be where, he left it until 3:30 this afternoon to tell me he is going to Cornwall. Of course he had Gemima with him today so he told her this morning, knowing that although everything was arranged for her to come with me this year, that she would want to go to Cornwall to see her cousins.

Crafty, sneaky bastard.

Suffice it to say, Gemima, Nick and his brother, Alex are all currently en route to Cornwall as I type.

If I had known a couple of weeks ago that this would happen, I would have had time to prepare myself emotionally. As it is, there is no time for that now for me or for Aaron... or for Gemima for that matter.

I went round to the house to say goodbye to her before they left. It was hard not to cry. I don't want her to feel guilty about going - I want her to have fun and enjoy herself.

But when she gave me her teddy so that I would have something to cuddle while she was away, I couldn't help myself. I cried just a little bit.

So that's both my girls who won't be with me this year.

I will miss them...

:(

Strange Days Indeed

Been a strange few days.

I have no idea where my head is at with anything. Been wandering about in a bit of a daze, trying to function normally but going on autopilot really.

Lots of tears the last few days. I feel so displaced. I don't really belong anywhere. I just stay places and I think my time of doing that is running out. How much longer can I reasonably inflict myself and my children on people?

I have fantasic friends. I am lucky. But I feel like am I constantly asking too much.

Christmas will be strange. I'll be staying with Keith but I am not sure I should. I want to but I am not sure if he has said yes because he wants me to or because he feels he should... or maybe he feels he can't say no. I've really no idea.

I know this is an emotional time for him and I feel like I am not part of that and I am intruding.

Actually, truth be told I feel like that much of the time lately. Maybe I shouldn't feel so insecure in this relationship... but I do.

Its not easy to live in a shadow... I can't live up to anything... failure is probably the only option.

Been fighting hard in my head not to retreat behind a wall. It's too easy to look at myself and see all my faults... and there are many.

Oh and to cap it all, my GP wouldn't sign any certificate to say I am fit to go back to work. He has signed me off for another three weeks. Given that work won't pay me while I am off sick that means a grand total of SIX weeks on SSP (£75 a week) going into my bank. And that's assuming my GP says I can go back at the end of this three week period.

I have no idea how I will cope... well I'm not coping really, am I!

LOL - Keith, your girfriend is a bit crap and an emotional lunatic. Sorry! You have been warned!

That's assuming of course that you still read my blog....

Christmas Cards...

Thought I'd get in before Keith...

He sent me the following picture earlier and I thought it was fabulous and dedicate it to the idiot I am divorcing!

Emo Xmas!!
OK it is a litte bit mean and I don't really mean it (much) but I needed a little Christmas cheer.

That's my story and I am sticking to it!

All Change...

Had another mini metamorphosis, as those of you who know me will be aware that I do from time to time...

Only changed my hair colour this time tho - here's pics of the process...

Bleached out the purple.....

Added the red

Dried and straightened (hadn't realised how hard it is to straighten your hair with whiplash!)

The next morning... a little bit tired!

Wading Through Syrup

That's what my life feels like at the moment.

What with the court fiasco last week on top of feeling battered and bruised, dealing with insurance claims, being told by work that I cannot resume until the GP gives me a certificate to say I am fit to do so (which he has refused to do) and trying to plough my way through the tome that is Nick's financial statement, it all feels just a little bit too much to cope with.

Not to mention the NVQ assignment that I am supposed to have done by 15th - there is no way that is happening!

Still - could be worse - as my sister pointed out - at least I feel like I am wading through syrup and not wading through shit!

Although, come to think of it.....

Keith was a star. He came up with a whole list of things to ask my solicitor (he is pissed off that Nick named him in the court documents).

It was good to have that support. Just as it was good to have Karen with me at the court last week. I feel so much like I am battling through things alone sometimes that its good to be reminded that there are people who are there for me and I don't always have to do it all by myself.

Sometimes its hard to admit that I can't and I have to remind myself that it is actually OK to ask for help.

I am feeling strangely displaced again and my head is still bouncing about like a yoyo but I do feel a little more focused since Keith sat and went through the Form E (finance stuff) with me.

After going to the solicitors, I went to the house to collect some things. The solicitor has advised me that as I am no longer able to live at the house due to Nick's behaviour then I am within my rights to stop paying towards the mortgage.

So, given that next month I will have a grand total of £bugger.all coming in because I've not been able to go into work, I have decided that this month's salary needs to stretch as far as possible to the end of Jan, therefore I am going to be a phenomenally tight-fisted bugger (good job i already got most xmas prezzies) and am no longer going to be subsidising nick and his brother to live in the house.

Oh yes, and I removed my internet hub from the house and took meter readings for gas and electric, as they are in my name only and I am cancelling them! If Nick wants light, heat and an internet connection he can pay for it.

Amusing hi-light of the day - going through Nick's form E to find a £60 payment for a subscription to dateline.com!

Home Again...

Travelled back to London this afternoon.

Although I was achy when I woke up this morning, I felt nowhere near as bad as Keith...

Not so by the time I'd lugged a suitcase back on the train though!

Was met at North Greenwich by my brother, Jamie and Aaron. It was nice to see Aaron and I got a long cuddle before I was allowed to get in the car!

Jamie took us all off to Nandos where we had yummy chicken, chips and salad, then off to Karen's to pick up all my documents and driving license as well as have a cuppa and a chat and more cuddles from Karen and the kids.

Quick trip to see the GP, who changed my meds as the diclofenic prescribed by the hospital has been making me feel very sick. The fact that my back and shoulders were so stiff I was having difficulty moving went some way towards him agreeing to make a referral for physiotherapy for me and giving me a prescription for co-dydramol. Brilliant painkiller - completely knocks me out!

Am off work now pretty much for the rest of the week. Hopefully I'll be able to sort out the hire car by then.

Its nice being at my Mum's. I haven't stayed here for a while. I miss Keith and cuddles and I suspect I will miss him more when there's no-one to snuggle with tonight but its good to spend time with the children. Gemima is with her dad tonight so I haven't seen her yet and I miss her.

It will be nice to pick her up from school tomorrow and see her look surprised because she doesn't know I'm going to be there.

I'm looking forward to that

Melty Brain Syndrome

I was supposed to have travelled back to London by train last night but sadly my brain went into complete meltdown and I ended up staying at Keith's for another night.

Thank you Keith for putting up with your emotional lunatic of a girlfriend!

Last night I spent about 40 minutes in the shower - not unusual for me as Keith will attest - only in this case, about 30 of those minutes were spent curled in a ball sobbing. Luckily for me, Keith and Sam were downstairs playing Warhammer and so didn't hear me, because I really couldn't have stopped or explained myself at all!

There's something very alarming about sobbing uncontrollably. I've only ever done it once before and that was when I was 12!

Good old Mum (as if she doesn't have enough on her plate). I texted her a garbled and somewhat insane message and she called and calmed me down and persuaded me that perhaps Keith really wouldn't mind if I wasn't able to leave immediately.

And as it turned out, she was right.

A short while later, after having a mad cleaning spree in the kitchen (as I am prone to do when stressed) and watching the boys playing Warhammer, Mum called again and I spent the best part of an hour talking to her, which was good and did bring me back to reality somewhat.

As Keith pointed out to me, in his wisdom, later on, a big part of my problem is that I feel I have to be responsible for everything and that I have to cope and manage all of these stressful situations... or in his words, keep all the balls in the air by myself.

Its difficult sometimes to admit that I can't do it. There always seems to be consequences for other people when I can't do it and then I have guilt attached to stress.

Not being able to cope makes me feel like such a failure and at the moment, having nowhere to live and relying on friends, family and the ever-wonderful Keith, I feel like a huge burden.

Yes, I know, blardy blardy blah... I should probably stop babbling on now and just be glad I am alive to be writing this.

And I am glad!

Just wasn't expecting to be quite so shockingly unable to handle things....

A Swift Taste of My Own Mortality

And there it was. Just when I thought all was crap and I really couldn't cope with any more stress whatsoever, life decided to up, give me a slap and make me take a sharp look at what's important.

How so?

With a ridiculously lucky escape from what could have so easily been a fatal car crash.

Winding up at a 90 degree angle across the M25 with headlights racing towards you doing at least 70mph, while your door is so damaged that it has jammed shut, is a somewhat sobering reality check.

Luckily I was able to do what Keith later described as a "hollywood style kick" and bust the door open to get out.

Long story short, some idiot was speeding, lost control of his car, hit my drivers door at about 45 degree angle, pushing me into the back of a very large Argos delivery lorry.

The car's a write off but luckily, Keith, Sam and I are all still here without a scratch... plenty of bumps, bruises and a job lot of whiplash all round though!

Suffice it to say that walking away from this has refocused me and made me see just what is important. Unnecessary stress can be done away with.

That creaky old shelf in my head where my separate boxes of stress reside... all swept away.

Divorce... court... job... NVQ... none of it is important. I could so easily not have survived this crash and it would have made no difference to any of those things.

Family, the people I love. That's what is important. Nothing else matters.

Life is too short to worry about the things I can't change anyway.

I am wavering between being happy that I'm still here and being an emotional wreck and crying because the accident is replaying on a loop in my head and I can't sleep properly.

Its a struggle but I am trying to stay positive. Don't know how long it will last... I suspect this is probably a normal reaction to being in shock, so hopefully it won't last too long.

Obviously not my time to go yet.....

Pics from the night....

Yet Another Update!!

Been really crap at blogging lately.

Lots has happened - can't be arsed to write an essay so I will bullet point all the key stuff...

Nick and his brother are still living at the house.

Kids and I unable to be at the house because of Nick's behaviour.

No room at Mum's for me so I'm currently spending 3 nights a week at Karen's and 4 nights a week at Keith's. I am so grateful I have people in my life who are there for me and my children.

My name is down on the local authority housing list but I can't bid for a place until my name is no longer on the deeds of the house. Apparently not having anywhere to live doesn't mean I am really homeless...! Go figure!

I'll be going to Court on 4 Dec to go through finances. I'm hopeful the divorce will be rubber stamped and finalised then but I doubt it- given the track record of this process.

Mum has been ill again and has been in Kings College Hospital for yet another operation. She's home now but that didn't do my stress levels any favours!

The steep learning curve at work has gotten even steeper as I have now started my NVQ4... its equivalent to the first year of a degree (yikes!) and is a humungous pain in the arse and source of stress as I am finding it hard to fit in the space and time to do any study, given the nature of my life at the moment.

Oh yes - and to cap it all - I was off work for two weeks with sinusitis in October. I was really ill. I came into work at the end of the first week and was sent home by my director who actually told me I looked ill and shouldn't be in the building. Guess what - they docked my pay £600!! Apparently its in the contract - not that I have a contract yet. I am SO fucked off about this - at NO time when my director asked me to leave the building and be sick elsewhere did he say to me that I would not be paid if I went. It is an appalling way to treat salaried staff. I have never worked for any company that treats its staff so badly. Losing £600 was all that I needed right now.

Anyhow - I will bash out another update after the court hearing.

Hopefully there will be some good news!

More Updates

Its been a long time since I've blogged.

Lots has happened since my last post. Sadly shithead is still in the house with his brother - demands from my solicitor that they leave have fallen on deaf ears. Looks like this will definitely be dragged through the courts.

In the meantime I have not felt safe in the house when he is there, so for the past month Aaron has been sleeping on a pull-out bed in my Mum's living room and I have been alternating between Mum's sofa, Keith's house and Karen's house.

I feel like a nomad!

Gemima stays with me on Tuesday and Thursday nights and every other weekend. The rest of the time she is with him.

A HUGE thank you to Mum and Karen who have been so supportive. The kids and I would have nowhere to go if it weren't for you two.

I've been off work sick for the past couple of weeks. I think the stress of everything has worn my immune system down to nothing and what started as a bit of a cold has turned into sinusitis, a chest infection and for a while vomiting and the squits (yes - I know you all needed to know that!)

I have got myself a cheap & cheerful laptop so that I can carry my important docs with me wherever I am - I don't trust him not to trash the stuff on the PC at the house. It also means that now I can go online at Mum's and Keith's without having to interfere with what they are doing on their PCs. I still have to borrow Karen's though as she doesn't have a wireless router... might be an idea for a christmas prezzie tho!!!

This divorce has been ongoing for well over a year now and still no end in sight...

I made this earlier to cheer myself up - lots of smiley images of me with Keith...

Worst day yet.............

Yesterday was the worst day so far in the process of this divorce. I'd thought things had been improving... how wrong could I have been!

I've posted balow an outline of an email I sent to my solicitor at stupid O'Clock this morning. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep at all last night - a couple of hours of cat-napping at best.

It's long... if you get to the end, well done!

...

This morning I was brushing Gemima’s hair and both children were in the living room with me. Nick came in and asked what was happening about Gemima’s childcare arrangements after school. I advised him that my friend Ana was picking her up as she usually does on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nick became very aggressive and demanded to know why he couldn’t collect her on more days. I remained calm and asked him not to shout and said that he could – he just needed to say which days he wanted to get her. He said he would do Wednesdays. I explained that we have cover for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. He is already doing Mondays and the days we have problems with are Thursdays and Fridays. Nick shouted that he goes to gym on Thursday so is not doing that and that he needs “every other fucking Friday off” because he needs “a fucking break too”. He demanded to know why the only time he could ever talk to me was when the chldren are around and asked if I were a coward and stated that I hide behind the children.

At this point Gemima was crying and both children were asking him to stop. He then proceeded to shout at me, despite me stating repeatedly that his actions and behaviour were not appropriate in front of the children and asking him to stop myself.

Nick stated that he needed a break because I had left Gemima with him for seven months. I reminded him that he had refused to allow me to have her alternate weekends and that he had become angry when I had finally insisted. He became extremely aggressive, stating that he was perfectly right to insist I don’t have her and referred to me as a “slut” in front of the children.

Both children were extremely distressed at this point and asking him to stop. Gemima was in tears. Aaron said “shut up” and Nick responded by moving towards Aaron, sticking his two fingers up at him and saying to him “you can fuck off”. Aaron responded by telling Nick to fuck off at which Nick said “Yeah? What are you going to do about it” and staring at Aaron in a very intimidating way. Aaron asked him what he was going to do and Nick replied that he was going to sit there and stare at him. I again told Nick to stop his behaviour and asked him if he couldn’t see the distress he was causing both children.

Nick then shouted at me “Oh yeah. Its all my fault. Maybe I should be like every other divorcing dad and just give up my job and fuck off. You’d be happy then, wouldn’t you. You’d get all the fucking money then!” he then turned to Aaron and shouted “and you’d be fucking happy too because Gemima wouldn’t have a dad either.”

This statement caused Gemima to become more distressed.

Nick continued to shout and throw insults at me and Aaron before stating that he wished he could “unadopt” Aaron.

At this point Aaron left the room, stormed out of the house and slammed the front door.

I attempted to console Gemima but Nick came over and cuddled her and tried to tell her that it was his MS and his medication making him behave like this. I said that he should apologise to Aaron as he had behaved in an unacceptable way. Nick said very sarcastically “right – its all my fault. I push everyone away!” and then tried to imply that Aaron had deserved his treatment. At this point I left the room and went to speak to Aaron. Aaron came back into the house and went to his room where he packed a suitcase and took it to my car.

All the time this incident was taking place, Nick’s brother Alex remained on the stairs outside the living room.

Nick appeared to become quite contrite at this point and attempted to apologise to Aaron, calling him back into the house. He gave Aaron a hug and said something to him which I could not hear.

Alex then returned to the living room.

Both children stated that they could not face going to school. I agreed to take Aaron to my mother’s house. Gemima wanted to come to work with me for the day.

Nick then told Gemima that he wasn’t feeling well. I stated that Nick should not attempt to make Gemima feel guilty for wanting to come with me. Nick then shouted at me and said his behaviour was my fault, stating “there you go sparking me off again.” I then told Nick he needed to take responsibility for his actions and stop trying to blame everyone else for his behaviour.

Gemima left the house and went to talk to Aaron by my car. Nick calmed and agreed she should go with me. I advised him that I would be back at the house in the evening if he wanted to talk but that I would not be coming to the house Wednesday evening and he could have some time with Gemima. I also advised that I would be taking Gemima and Aaron with me to stay at Karen’s house on Thursday night and that he was having her for the weekend. Nick asked if I would write it down for him as he would forget. I agreed to text it to him.

We left the house and both children got into the car. Nick apologised to me out of earshot of the children and stated that he thought his medication was to blame for his outburst.

I took both children with me. When we reached my mother’s house, Aaron told me that despite Nick’s efforts at an apology, he did not believe it was sincere or that it would not happen again as this is not the first time. Aaron stated that he now refuses to answer to the Surname “Wales” and asked that I contact the school to tell them he is now using the Surname “Scott” which was his birth name. He said that no matter what, “Scott” is the name he will be using from now on.

He also stated that he wants no more contact with Nick and will not return to the former marital home while Nick is still present.

Gemima came to work with me but due to circumstances there, I had to take her to stay at my Karen’s house for the day. Gemima knows Karen very well and has stayed with her on many occasions. She was happy to go to Karen’s house.

At 14:07 I received the following text from Nick:
“Just spoke to ms nurse. Dosage was probably to high. I went from 0 – to 200 mg a day. So have to half dosage because I’m a small build. Family doctor got it wrong again. Thought I would try and let you know . OK :) Seems I’m a bit sensitive to medication. I really apologise for this morning and deeply regret that it ever happened.”

I responded at 14:10 with the following text:
“Thank you for letting me know.
Aaron is staying at my mum’s for a few days.
I will be at the house tonight.
I will leave Gemima with you Weds and am taking her with me for a sleepover at Karen’s Thurs.
Gemima is with you this weekend.”

Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to work late and did not leave until almost 7pm. I went to collect Gemima where she was playing the Wii with her friend Katherine. I let her finish her game and then left and drove the 20-minute journey to my mother’s house to see Aaron and make sure he was OK.

At 20:50 I sent Nick the following text:
“Will bring Gemima back soon.”

I received no response.

I left my mother’s house shortly afterwards and returned with Gemima to the former marital home.

Gemima went into the living room and spoke to Nick, leaving me to carry her bag into the house. When I came into the house, Nick slammed the living room door shut in front of me. I did not bother going into the living room but went upstairs and left Gemima to spend some time with Nick.

Shortly afterwards, Nick left Gemima in the living room and came up to the loft room to talk to me. He asked how Aaron was. I told him that Aaron was not OK and that he was very upset by the morning’s events. I advised that Aaron would be saying at my mother’s house for a while.

I asked where Alex was and Nick replied that he had gone back to Cornwall to visit their parents. He stated that he didn’t know how long for and that Alex would not be here much longer so he would be losing his support, not that he expected me to care. I asked if he had come to my room just to have another argument. He stated he had not.

Nick then asked when Jade would be coming back to live at the house. I stated that I didn’t know. He then said that he needed his space in the living room and suggested Alex use Jade’s room. When I queried this based on his statement that Alex wouldn’t be staying much longer, he stated that he had not said that to me. I stated I did not want to argue.

He then asked if I could ask Jade if Alex could use her room. I suggested he call and ask himself as he wanted it. At this he stated he did not want to speak to Jade. He then got angry and stormed down the stairs to the loft room, slamming the door hard on the way out. He opened it again and said “actually I want to do this” and slammed the door as hard as he possibly could, causing the cover on the handle inside the room to fall off.

I went down the stairs and pushed the cover back on the handle and opened the door to make sure it could still open. When I opened the door, Nick was standing in the room and demanded to know why I had followed him. I referred to the fact that I was checking the handle but stated I did not have to justify my reasons for coming down the stairs. I asked why he had found it necessary to come to my room, cause an argument and then leave, slamming my door twice on the way out. I also referred to him slamming the door in my face when I had returned to the house. Nick’s response was “because I fucking felt like it”

Nick stated that the loft room was his as well, as is the rest of the house and that he can do as he likes. I stated that he was doing it deliberately to try and intimidate me and drive me out of the house. Nick laughed and said if he wanted to go into Jade’s room and pack it up then he could. I told him I didn’t think he could as it was Jade’s room and not his. He said he didn’t care and that I could tell my solicitor and take it to the court if I wish.

He said “I don’t give a fuck what the fucking courts say or what your fucking solicitor says. Go ahead and write him a little letter. I don’t care what it makes me look like. I will tell my solicitor to ignore his letters and not to answer them.”

He then proceeded to shout “you are a fucking slut. You slept around in your teens and you are just a slag. And you are a shit mother.” I told him nothing he could say could hurt me any more.

He then demanded to see the handle and told me to move out of the way. I stated that it was my room, I did not want him in it and I would not move out of the way.

Nick then proceeded to physically shove me out of the way and enter my bedroom to look at the door. I advised him that pushing and shoving me is actually assault. He laughed and tapped me twice on the right arm. I advised that I felt he was again trying to intimidate me and that those actions could also be seen as assault, to which his response was “so what, go ahead and write your letter to your solicitor. Better get on with it now.”

Gemima then called him from the living room and he left the room.

Gemima later told me that she had heard the argument.

Here's to hoping that things can only get better from here... or is that just wishful thinking???

Tattoo

I had a tattoo done last night. My first one. Went by myself.

Just a little heart on my wrist with three sets of bubbles... one for each of my children.

Not a great pic - hard to take with my left hand!

Crappy Day

Today's been a bit crap really.

I feel all insecure and uncertain about things.

Things were said on the weekend which have made me rush off to hide behind my wall for the first time in a long time. I don't like this feeling and I am trying to talk myself out of it but its difficult.

Roll on tomorrow - hopefully things will feel a little better then.

Swanage Holiday

Lack of access to a computer meant that I was not able to blog about our holiday antics religiously every day (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!)

If you really want a daily account replete with pics, then you can find it on Keith's blog, as he brought along a laptop and did blog every night!!

Still waiting for him to put all the pics on Picasa but when he does, I'll post a link.

As far as the holiday goes, in a nutshell, it was fantastic!!

The kids and I had a great time. It was lovely to spend such a long period of time with Keith, all our kids and his Mum, Linda. There was the odd bicker-fest between the kids but nothing out of the ordinary really.

Swimming every morning and outings of one sort or another every day (Corfe castle, a swannery, a kids farm, the beach). I cooked most evenings and Linda did breakfast most mornings but we had a few evening meals out and a few lunches out too, which was really nice. Linda treated us all to a fantastic meal out on our last night. It was a lovely end to our week in Swanage.

Keith and I spent a few days where we had the chance to bum around the local shops - there were a few fab hippy/gothy shops and I bought Gemima some warm clothes and found a gorgeous dress for me which I think I will wear around Christmas - athough I may succumb to temptation and wear it to Vendetta before then!! We also found a little shop which sells proper masks - not the kiddy type - the type you'd find at a masked ball. Couldn't resist - they were so reasonbly priced with the cheapest at £3.99 and the most expensive at £14.99! I bought three and a fab little hat which will go with the dress.

We had such a good time. It went far too fast.

A BIG, BIG THANK YOU to Linda for paying for a second caravan. I could not afford it and the kids and I wouldn't have been able to come otherwise. It was so much more appreciated by us than I can possibly describe.

Hopefully we can do it all again next year... I shall start saving now!

Holiday

OK - I know I've not blogged for a bit and loads has happened. I will catch up later I promise!

Right now though I am all packed and ready to go off on holiday for a week with Keith, Aaron, Gemima, Sophie, Sam, Shane (Sophie's boyfriend) and Keith's Mum.

Off to SWF tonight after work to pick up Keith and Shane then leaving bright and early Saturday morning and heading off to a caravan in Swanage.

I am so excited!!!!

Gemima Update

I am happy to say that Gemima's wound (which has been slightly open and oozing clear pinkish-yellowish liquid at an alarming rate since Tuesday night) has finally sealed over and stopped oozing.

After a trip to the GP yesterday and again this morning, she is now patched up with new dressings and is doing much better.

I am SO looking forward to going to Swanage (as are Gemima and Aaron). I think we all really need this holiday.

Jade's Tattoo

Jade's birthday present from me.

She had it done today.

The tattoo was done from her own drawing.... talent!

Best Laid Plans...

... and all that!

Was supposed to have been having a chat with Nick tonight to come to an agreement on financial settlement so that this doesn't have to get dragged through court.

We even had a long chat plus a bit of a barney about it last night and agreed we'd do this tonight.

I went to Keith's last night to pick Aaron up a day early so I could sort this out tonight - I had planned on being with Keith tonight.

But no - typical Nick fashion - he is like a sodding yoyo. I prepared the document - as we agreed I would. I gave it to him and asked if he could read it through and we could talk about it. He then announced he had some stuff to do for work so he would read it later and get back to me when he could!

In the meantime Keith had vanished off to numb his brain with Big Brother, so I spent my time doing this....

The pretty rope lights actually belong to Jade - they were on the floor in her room and I found them when I was looking for scissors. They've been there for the best part of a year so I have borrowed them to make my stark and dull loft room look a little more inviting!

You will get them back Jade... at some point.... maybe....

Choices

I received this in an email from my fab friend Karen. Given all the crap going on in my life at the moment, it made me stop and think.

So I thought I would share these pearls of wisdom...

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood.

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or... I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy,"I protested.

"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."

I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the company to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.

He continued, "the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read "he's a dead man". I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?"I asked.

"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for me to continue. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'.

Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead'."

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.

Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, after all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

So I choose not to stress about the fact that Nick decided to take things through court and I have a court date set for December.

I choose not to stress about the fact that Gemima has been so ill and that her wound is now leaking something rather nasty.

I choose not to stress about my job - or rather the amount of time I've had to take off to be at the hospital every day for over a week.

Next time anyone notices me being a stress-head, please remind me that I have a choice!!!

Happy Birthday Jade

My little girl is 19!!

WTF?!

I am SO not old enough to have a 19-year-old daughter!

Quick update

God - done it again - forever and a day since my last blog.

I do have a very good reason. Gemima was whisked off to hospital by me over a week ago with stomach pains, which turned out to be appendicitis. They operated the same night and I have been staying with her at the hospital every other night and every day since.

The appendix had perforated and was pretty much ruptured (oozing rather than exploding apparently). Nasty, gangrenous and bizarrely not in the normal place - it was tucked away behind the bowel so the operation took far longer than expected.

We had been advised an hour for the procedure and recovery time - three hours later we were called to the recovery room.

I'm sure you can all imagine what my head was doing for the extra two hours!

Anyhow - she is home now. We got back at 4:15pm this afternoon. She's asleep on her bed. The journey back wore her out.

Funny thing was - when I woke her up in the car to tell her we were back, she said "are we at Keith's already?". She was all confused because the weekend just gone was supposed to be her weekend with me at Keith's and for some reason, she had thought today was Friday and we were going to Keith's.

So, now that she is asleep, I have a ton of post to sort through and a snotogram to send to Britannia Parking. I can't be arsed to write about that saga - Keith did it already - please feel free to go read his blog!!

:)

Goddamn Jinxed Car!!

Silly noises galore from the engine most of the way back to London this morning. Not getting worse and it doesn’t seem to affect the performance but it is a regular tapping in time with the acceleration.

Got back to the house, parked, turned the ignition off. Then decided to move the car so Nick could get out without bugging me.

Lo and behold the car started fine with not a single complaint or silly noise from the engine.

It was fine all the way to dropping Gemima at my sister’s and fine all the way to work from there too.

On a super-crap note however, I did call the garage and they suggested that there might be a little damage from when the car got really low on oil months ago (although the sceptic in me thinks its taken a bloody long time to manifest itself into a noise!).

They think that the warranty won’t cover it either because it’s a maintenance issue not a fault. On that particular note I might add that the car was given a full service when I bought it in December so I would not have expected the oil to have run dry in May with no sign of an oil leak.

Anyhow – the extremely shite news is that it could cost in the region of £600 to fix!

I don’t have £600 to spare. I don't have £600 full stop!

Plus I am supposed to be going to Swanage in a month. Might be hard with no money / car.

Now I’m SO stressed that I actually feel sick and I have no idea what to do.

Can’t wait for this year / divorce / house sale to be over.

Wouldn't it be nice to curl up in a ball and let someone else deal with all this for me! I'd bitch about crap karma but then I think about my relationship with Keith and realise that actually there is a balance and I do have something to smile about after all.

Smelly Candles and Snoozes

Spent the night at Keith’s last night. Didn’t tell anyone where I was going. Just went. Can’t be arsed with the situation at the house at the moment. Constant little digs from Nick because his brother is still staying.

Keith’s room was all lovely and candle-lit when I got there. He’d gone down to watch BB and I had said I would come back down and join him after I’d put my bag in there but it smelled so nice and was so cosy in the bedroom and I just plonked myself down and watched the light flickering on the walls. Next thing I knew Keith was blowing out the candles and turning off the music. I’d completely slept through BB!!

I can only apologise to Keith for being such crap company. I didn’t realise how tired I was until I stopped.

Plus I am stressed. Car was fine all day until about halfway to SWF when it started making strange noises again. Will have to bite the bullet and call the garage when I get back tomorrow.

Bleurggghhhh!!

Have spent a couple of days feeling like crap. Think I have a bug of some sort as well as it being that time of the month.

It never rains but it pours!

Had to go home early yesterday as I was feeling so rough.

And to cap it all, the car continues to be silly!

Early Starts and Silly Cars

Aaron and I ended up staying the night in SWF again.

Got up at 4:30am to drive back to London in time to wake Gemima up and get her ready for the school run.

God - what a silly time of the morning to get up!

Came down at 5am to wake Aaron up only to find him already up, dressed and waiting for me.

Left for London just after 5:30am. Pretty clear run. Car started making silly noises and sounding all tractor-like again on the way back. Its done that a few times. The oil light flickered on and off a few times so I pulled over and checked the oil.

It was fine.

I started the engine again.

It was fine.

God only knows what is going on with the damn thing! Bloody silly attention-seeking car!

Holiday Plans

Aaron and Sam have been hatching plans. After yesterdays trip out to meet Sam's friends followed by the water balloon fight, Sam invited Aaron to come back during the week.

Aaron breaks up from school on Tuesday afternoon so I will be bringing him back to SWF on Tuesday evening!

I am sure you can all guess what a hardship that will be. I get to stay another night with Keith. I am sure I can endure it though!!!

*grin*

Grrrr... Arrrrgh

It's that time of the month again!

Yes - I know thats probably too much information and no-one really wanted to know.

But its my blog - and I'll grumble if I want to!

Yep - I am both hurty and grumbly.

Bath and a back rub sounds good.

Mind you - so does cake and ice-cream.

Oh decisions, decisions!!

Water-Bomb!

So after all the time Keith and I spent making the garden look fabulous and tidy (well - ish) the boys decided it would be a far better idea to decorate it with bits of burst balloon.

By far the best way to do this of course is to fill the balloons with water and chuck them at each other.

So of course this is what they did!

Delightful!

Terrible Two

Sam and Aaron, thankfully, seem to have been getting along very well this weekend.

So Far...

Not really any griping or growling to speak of.

Sam had a couple of calls from his friend while Keith and I were doing the garden and agreed to go and meet up with them. He also dragged Aaron off out with him to meet them, which I thought was really nice.

Certainly seemed to make Aaron's day!

Go Forth and Hoover The Lawn!

Woke up stupidly early this morning to bright sunlight and extreme heat blasting at me through the bedroom window.

Someone else woke up bright and early too and had the brilliant idea of doing the garden!

God knows what he was drinking last night then! Can only assume someone put some "be domesticated" powder in his tea!

Keith busily set to work mowing and strimming the grass at the front of the house while the rest of us pottered round in stunned bemusement at the very unusual sight!

His cry of lament at seeing the baack garden was just too much though so I was compelled to drag on the jeans and get to work too.

Actually it was fun! I am somewhat alarmed to say I quite enjoyed doing the garden!

Yep.

You did read it right!

I actually enjoyed doing the garden.

Now there's a sentence I never would have thought I would come out with in any way, shape or form!

Looks 100% better than it did but still lots to do so I've agreed to pilfer whatever gardening implements I can from the shed at my house and bring them to SWF so we can have another bash at it next weekend.

Oh dear god!

What did I just say?!?!?!

Bored Games

Sam wanted to play Bored Games today so we all sat round for a riveting 3-hour game of Monotony!

I jest - it was of course Monopoly (or should that be Monoploy as Sam is a cheating wotsit!?)

Actually he didn't cheat.

He played pretty well and we all had to concede defeat!

Grumble grumble!!!

Late Night Shenanigans!

Leaping about at The Lodge appeared to have frazzled the boys' brains because they were up for hours after we got back - and there was much banging, crashing, thudding, yelping and giggling coming from Sam's room (where they were supposed to be just sleeping)!

Keith and I gave up after telling them to shut up a couple of times and eventually managed to sleep through the small din.

Turns out they had decided to have a playfight - Aaron using a teatowel and Sam his school tie with knots tied into it!

It would appear much fun and bruising was had by both!

Boys will be boys!

Arizona at The Lodge

Tis Friday night and as usual, Aaron and I trekked through 45 miles of rush hour traffic all the way up to SWF.

Arizona played at The Lodge this evening. Keith has mentioned them several times so we thought we would pop along with the boys and see them.

A bit naughty really as there are rules stating no children after 9pm but we thought we'd be cheeky and chance it.

We did pretty well really. Didn't get busted until ten minutes before the end! I was impressed.

The band was as good as I had been led to believe and we had a great evening - even Aaron was up dancing!

Highlight of the evening - Keith and Sam leaping about to Baggy Trousers followed by Keith's impression of Jagger to some stones track which I have no hope of identifying - not being a huge fan and all that!

Also - this evening I got to meet Keith's friends, Tracy and Bev. Keith has talked about them both so it was nice to put faces to names and really good to meet them (albeit briefly). I'm sure I'll get to meet them again properly in a less noisy environment at some point!

Apologies....

OK... I have been grumbled at by several people now for being such a big slacker on my blog!

I apologise profusely and will endeavour to try and write something on a more regular and frequent basis from now on!

We're All Going on a.....

...Summer Holiday!!!

Yes!! Been such a long time since I've done that!

Keith's mum had booked a caravan in Swanage for her to take Sam and Sophie on holiday for a fortnight in August. Keith was going to join them on the second week. They'd invited me with the kids earlier in the year but I had to say no because I really couldn't afford it.

Got a text this morning from Keith saying that his star of a mum has booked a second caravan for the second week so I can come and bring the kids down too.

I can't express how much that means!

So now the kids and I will be off to Swanage in the last week of August for the first summer holiday we've had in quite a while. We're all really excited about it!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been a while...

Been a very long while actually - I've not blogged properly for quite some time.

But you know how it is - when there's been SO much going on, your brain just doesn't want to revisit it all at the end of each day.

I've had a rollercoaster of a couple of months and some days I have felt like my head was about to explode.

In fact on Monday it really felt like it had, because I had one of the worst migraines I've had in a very, very long time.

Divorce is still in progress. He is going from being an arse to being reasonably human (ish). Although in a new development he has now started recording my phone calls with Gemima when I call to say goodnight to her on his weekends with her. He also tries to goad me into saying things that will make me look bad and him look like the poor hard-done-by victim.

Not going to work!

I am REALLY not that stupid!

Did do all the financial forms but his vulture of a solicitor is asking for more info which I really can't be arsed to provide to be honest! I don't see why she needs 12 months worth of bank statements. I haven't been putting my salary into that account for 12 months for a start. Plus its all been done on a voluntary basis and its not even part of a court process (yet) anyhow!

Plus its none of her fucking business!

I am definitely pushing for this house to be sold. Things have got to the point where none of us want to be here - kids included. Far better to sell now, pay off debts, move into council place for a bit until more appealing options can be feasibly considered.

Bastardcard are still bastards and have not resolved the issue at all! Debt collectors are phoning now. Oh joy!

On a positive note - they have managed to sort out the duplicate card and that now has a zero balance so that's one less thing to worry about.

As for the rest of it - well - you know what its like when you have a ton of things to do and organise and you know you should do them quite urgently but you really can't be arsed because it drags you down so far? I have a fair bit of that going on.

All procrastination, I know but nevertheless, I don't need to be continuously dragged down by all this divorce shite.

...and then there's Keith.

Wow - what a doozy of an emotional rollercoaster this last week has been. Not even sure I want to write about it all but I do want to say that fortunately I was able to tell him just a teensy bit of some things I'd wanted to say for a while but hadn't known how to. The other things I needed to say he managed to work out for himself and told me which was SUCH a relief.

He also said a few things that I really needed to hear and which went much further than I had expected.

In terms of our relationship, I feel far more secure and happier now than I have done yet. There's been a really big step forward and its all good.

That part of my life is all really good.

Aaron's been away on a school holiday in Wales since Monday. I have taken a couple of hours out so I can pick him up when he gets back at 3:30 (ish). I've really missed him this week.

For those of you who want to know a bit more about what I've been up to , you can go HERE and read more!!

Yes, I know that was incredibly lazy of me but there's no sense reinventing the wheel you know!

Brilliant Birthday

On to the good stuff... My Birthday!

I have had a brilliant birthday weekend.

Thank you SO MUCH Keith for organising it. I can't begin to describe how much it meant - its been such a long time since anyone other than my kids and my Mum made any kind of fuss about my birthday.

The weekend started with a surprise prezzie from Sam and Sophie. They bought me candles! They were lovely - thoughtful and very unexpected. I was really touched.

Me opening my prezzie!

After a quick run to Lidl for nibbles, I headed off to London to pick up Jade, Gemima and my fab friend Karen and brought them back to SWF for a loud and raucous night in at Keith's.

For the first time since I have been going to SWF, Keith and I had all our children under one roof! And it didn't even feel strange (although Keith said he felt he had to be on his best behaviour more with Jade around than he did with my Mum around!!!).

Got a bit squiffy on some extremely nice Vanilla Rum (Sailor Jerry) which was a birthday prezzie from Jade and her boyfriend, Ryan.

Much fun was had by all and it seemed that Rock Band was the order of the night.

A few pics below...

But why is the Rum always gone? Erm... because I drank it mebbe?!

Awwww! Keith with his head almost in my lap! That's NOT quite what doggy style is all about Keith but never mind eh!

My attemps to touch up my make-up without anyone noticing were a bit of a failure!

Gemima throws shapes singing to Nirvana, while Jade concentrates on maintaining a straight face and a sense of rhythm!

Keith concentrating very hard on being in the Rock Band!

Jade practicing to out-do Ryan on drums!

Livvie, Kirby (Sam's girlfriend) and Sam

Aaron: I'm just way too cool to smile!

You can drink WHO under the table Sam?

Karen having a boogie:

Prince Charming... Prince Charming... Ridicule is nothing to be scared of!:

Gemima - playing the guitar like Hendrix!:

Divorce Update

Wow - I have been spectacularly shite at keeping up with my blog lately!

A lot of stuff going on this month too. Won't bore you all with the nitty gritty but the divorce is ploughing ahead more slowly than a slow thing! Got the financial stuff finished - just need to get it exchanged and apply for decree absolute.

Nick's mood swings are becoming increasingly extreme. He has gone from wanting to talk and co-operate to cancelling all the direct debits on the joint account without telling me. I had to pay the mortgage and then shift the mortgage payment date til after my new payday.

Then after all that his solicitor wrote to advise that as I have "refused" to pay into the joint account for 2 months he is going to issuue an application for ancillary relief which will include an application for maintenance!

This from the fucker who has left me to pay for ALL the childcare needs and food since OCTOBER 2007! Not to mention that I paid the last mortgage installment! It was only one month I missed and that was because I changed jobs and got paid about £900 less than I expected to be paid! BUT I CALLED THE BANK TO ADVISE THEM AND REARRANGE STUFF!

And there is a big difference between refusing to pay and being unable to pay!

Grrrrrrrr! Bastard!

Suffice it to say I am not taking that crap from him or his solicitor! When I have finished procrastinating on this blog I am going to write a response which my solicitor can pass on to his solicitor!

Anyhow - enough about that arsehole!

Hopefully he will be gone soon!

Rufus at the Palace

I had THE most fantastic night! Went with Keith to see Rufus Wainwright at Hampton Court.

It was awesome. One of those things that will stay in my head forever.

Met Keith at North Greenwich before heading off to Hampton Court - stopping en route for Marks & Sparks picnicery!

It was a warm sunny evening and we sat out in the gardens with a gazillion others, ate dinner, took pics and generally enjoyed having space and time to ourselves for a while.

Rufus was amazing. Just him, a piano and a guitar. Great music dotted with funny banter and the odd fuck-up!

The journey home by train was a long one and as the house was empty, we decided to take advantage of it and stay in Greenwich instead of driving the 45 minutes back to SWF.

That was strange. Keith's first visit to the shitehole that used to be my house. And it really was a shitehole in the living room where Nick sleeps. Although I had at least cleaned the kitchen!

Still - my bed won't seem so cold and uninviting now that I have memories of Keith in it!

;)
