The Space Time Discontinuummmmm....

Another very odd start to the morning.

Nick has been a bit odd lately - what with being suspiciously nice and then asking to borrow money for some crap about a mystery nameless genderless friend from the MS group.

Last night when I got in he was asleep on the sofa with a coat slung over his head. The kids and I marched through the front room into the kitchen and happily made the usual amount of noise that kids and tired parents make when they get in.

Nick slept through it.

I made coffee for me and hot milk for the kids, put the kids to bed, read Gemima a story (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the gazillionth time)and then came upstairs and parked myself in front of the computer. All by 8pm.

At 9.30pm I got a text from my Mum to say Nick had called her asking where the kids and I were. I texted back explaining that they were in bed and I was in the loft.

This morning I checked my phone and there was a text from Nick saying he had forgotten where I was supposed to be and was I OK. Not at all like the texts I have been getting lately which would have been more likely to have said something along the lines of 'where the fuck are you and where are the kids!'

When I went downstairs he was still sleeping. I clattered about in the kitchen, put clothes in the washing machine, made tea/coffee and did the packed lunches. The noise did eventually wake him up. He was very shakey and seemed quite disorientated. He remembered having called my Mum the night before but said that it was very scarey because he'd got home at about 6pm, didn't remember laying down and going to sleep and had been really confused when he'd woken up to a quiet house. The only thing he could think to do was call my Mum.

Now that is a little worrying and quite out of character. He didn't even think to look out of the front room window to see if my car was there - that hadn't occurred to him.

He seemed physically slow and unsteady this morning at the school although was clearly more awake and not disorientated any more.

This evening he was asleep on the sofa again when we got in. Again we made noise and coffee and did the bedtime story thing... he only just woke up in time to hear me reading to Gemima and he came up to say goodnight. He's still very shakey and seems to be genuinely unwell.

Actually hope he picks up soon because this is weird and a little disconcerting.
