The management has finally given in to my badgering and paid for me to go on a course run by Cruse, a free bereavement counselling service.
For them it means I'll be "qualified" to work with those clients of mine who have had recent loss or bereavement - although the course is not LD Specific but it does cover LD.
For me it is the first step on what will hopefully (depending on finances), ultimately be a qualification in counselling that I can use when I decide to move on from social work.
So tomorrow morning I will be dragging my backside out of bed by 6am and staggering into London to begin filling my brain.
Am actually looking forward to it.
