Weekend Update

Had a pretty good weekend actually. Too tired to blog last night so here comes the update....

Friday
Worked til 11:30pm! LONG day! Took Aaron and Gemima and a bunch of clients from the Support Group I help facilitate, to Eynsford to see the local AmDram version of Dick Whittington, which was, as usual completely brilliant and funny. The kids and the clients seemed to enjoy it. Very late night for everyone and lots of yawning and nodding off in the car on the way home. Not from me, I hasten to add - I was driving!

Saturday
Took Gemima to buy her friend a birthday prezzie. She is off bowling and then for a sleep-over! What a social life the girl has and she's only seven!

Aaron and I set off for Keith's (or Sam's as Aaron refers to it) at 11:40am, blissfully unaware of any problems on the A2 at Danson Park. Got stuck in ridiculous gridlock of traffic and had to drive out into wildest Kent to jump on the M25 and get back through the tunnel at Dartford! What a palaver! Finally got to Keith's at about 1.20pm!

Met Keith's Dad for the first time. All went off out for a meal, which was nice.

Spent the evening dossing in front of the TV with Rum & Coke (or JD & Coke in Keith's case) watching Chasing Amy. Was nice - rarely drink at home so makes a change (OK - I know - technically I was not at home - but still - I was in a house)!

Sunday
Up at 10.30(ish). Nice and much appreciated rarity to have a bit of a lie-in! Keith and Sophie had a massive row over a TV - think it may have been possible to hear them about a mile away. Well, Sophie anyway - she does have the loudest voice in the house, despite Keith's best efforts! What a way to start the day!

Went for lunch at Pizza Hut, then onto cinema to see St Trinians, which was funny and didn't require any brainpower to watch - so ideal.

Coffee at Starbucks was followed by Ice hockey which saw the Chieftains stomp all over Swindon to beat them 7-2 in what was probably the best game I have seen them play yet! At one point there were FOUR separate fights going on - including both goalie's who were happily pounding on each other! Fantastic!! Reminiscent of the hockey games I watched in the States many moons ago!
