Revelations...

Lounged around in bed until gone 10. Would have stayed later but the bed is like a slab of granite and my back hurt!

Went to the shops for a wander - found a fab purple lipliner - which was great because I have been looking for one for months now.

Roast Lamb with Buubble & Squeak for dinner. Yum!

Drove home at a reasonable time for a change.

Spent the evening chatting to Nick - Gemima informed him (in front of me) that she wants to live with me. I actually felt sorry for him then - it must have been a hard thing for him to hear.

I think spending the weekend alone has been quite a revelation to him and he has done a lot of soul-searching.

In terms of what we have tentatively agreed; the kids should live with me. He will help to ensure that this happens in a stable environment. He feels that I should take the mortgage over if the bank will allow me to and then look at selling the property when the kids have left home.

He also apologised for his recent behaviour. He did seem sincere too which was nice.

He also said he has realised that he misses me and that he misses the good times we had.

It was all a bit emotional but at least we are both hoping that we will come out of this with some level of friendship intact.

Will certainly be easier all round if we can.
