Feeling like something the cat chucked up today. I wandered downstairs this morning in my PJs and big fluffy dressing gown and Aaron took one look at me and said "Mum, you look like shit!"
From the mouths of babes eh... don't pull your punches there son!
Anyhow, felt crap enough that I couldn't face going into work.
Nick knocked on my bedroom door at about 8am to see if I was up and all I could manage was a croak. He did, very kindly, go and make me a Lemsip!
Spent the morning researching my mortgage options. Seems that Abbey won't consider me taking over the mortgage by myself on my salary. Bummer! Really don't want to lose the house.
Nick seems to be keen to push for a move. He is trying to persuade me that it will be a good opportunity for me and I should see it as positive. And in a way he has a point - this place needs work doing - electrics are old. need to install a combi-boiler as we only have an ancient old water tank, kitchen needs to be tiled and have floor laid and cupboard doors replaced; bathroom needs replacing as we currently have a sink with ambition rather than a bath as it is the smallest bathroom in the world!
Would be nice to move into a place where the bathroom doesn't need doing, the kitchen is useable and the heating system works without being plugged into an extension lead from across the room!!
That said - we converted the loft so this place has 4 bedrooms instead of 3. Where else could I have a 4 bedroom house for £660 a month (which is what the mortgage is currently)?
*sigh*
Have also put my name down on the local authority housing list... just in case.
I hate dealing with all this crap!
Fortunately, Keith recommended a good financial adviser who I have spoken to and who thinks he might be able to help. Fingers crossed!
