If Last Week's Hockey Match Was The Dullest Yet...

... then this week's was by far the most frustrating!

The first period was good. The Chieftains came out in fighting spirit but were just unlucky and it ended up 1-0 to MK Lightning.

Second period... well God only knows what happened during the second period... it must have been another team because the Chieftains were playing like they really couldn't be arsed. Very frustrating to watch - especially when MK scored with ONE SECOND left! Aaargh!

Third period looked like it was going to be a repeat of the second when MK went up to 3-0 but for some reason the Chieftains seemed to wake up in the last 10 minutes and scored 2, followed by MK scoring their 4th and then Chieftains scoring their 3rd in the last couple of minutes. So overall a fairly respectable 3-4 result but it would have been so much better if they had played consistently the whole way through.

Most memorable part of the match: the ref getting hit in the elbow by the puck and someone from the crowd shouting "If you'd been watching the game you'd have seen that coming!".
