Return of the Arsehole!

Oh well that didn't take long did it!

Arsehole Nick is back again. He must be allergic to being nice to me. Probably part of his MS no doubt.

Wanker!

Just had the most bizarre conversation (for want of a better description) with Nick in front of Gemima.

I heard her crying downstairs and went down to find him cuddling her and she was talking about a mouse she had found in the playground and how her teacher had not let her bring it into the classroom and she was worried that a cat might get it and kill it.

Nick managed to turn this conversation into one about how confused she is about everything else in her life and proceeded to tell me that she told him since I took her to Keith's she is now confused about where she wants to live!

Eh?

She was only there for a couple of days and she has managed to tell everyone else what a great time she had there.

Anyhow, I have straightened things out - told her she won't be living anywhere but here with me so no need to be confused!

He continued to say that she's told him that I said he is jealous of Keith. I hadn't. Not in that context. I had actually been trying to reassure her that no matter who she met, it wouldn't change how she feels about him.

He stomped off out and then he came back into the room while I was talking to her and decided to try and start an argument and said I should tell him what I am saying to her so he can make sure she is not getting the wrong end of the stick.

Cheeky Fuck!

Like I need his permission!

He said, in front of her, that my reassurances obviously didn't work and that his feelings and behaviour are about him wanting to spend time with her not about him being jealous of Keith.

Yeah right! Could have fooled me!

I told him I refused to argue with him so he called me manipulative and said I was trying to manipulate Gemima. All of this in front of her.

I told him there was no need to insult me, so he went downstairs and shouted up that he will insult me and he quite likes insulting me actually!

Sadly for him I then had to explain to Gemima what manipulative means - and used the example of the behaviour he had just displayed - how he was insulting me to get her to believe that's what I am like because he wants her to choose him, when actually she doesn't have to choose at all - she has two parents and she can spend time with us both.

Silly man. She will see him for what he is. She already does sometimes. He will lose all her respect if he carries on.

Problem with him is that he likes to play mind games - he does it all the time - but he is not very good at it and Gemima is MUCH smarter than he is and she won't always be taken in by it.

It hasn't occurred to him that children don't take kindly to people insulting their parents - even if it is the other parent doing the insulting. It will backfire on him. She has already commented that she is the only person in the family he is not mean to. She has noticed this herself!
