If I'm honest - it was also a good ploy to clear the wine-induced cobwebs away from our heads with some much-needed fresh air!
Started in the play park at the top end of the beach. Much silliness was had by all on some springy elephants! All except Keith who politely declined due to being a big scaredy cat!

Fun in the play park was followed by a couple of hours spent walking down the beach to the pier where we came across a great little art exhibition entitled Unpopular Culture. Would have stayed much longer but the children pointed out that after a couple of hours running about on pebbles they were in need of refuelling so it was off to a local cafe for chips and a cuppa!
On the way back we came across a fabulous little record shop which was sadly closing down but happily for us, selling CDs and vinyl records for £1 each! We spent some time browing through the bizarre and obscure collection on display - found some little gems in the CD section which will boost Keith's already vast collection as well as some really fab and unusual records with great artwork on the covers, which we decided we will frame and put on the walls. Amongst others, I found a great one by The Toilet Boys which will grace the outer door of the loo in Keith's house!
Got back to Nan's five whole hours after leaving to find Mum asleep in the porch. Keith kindly took a photo of her looking... well... shall we just say relaxed!

Karma got him back later though!!

Me looking a bit worse for wear with Nan...

...and Mum
