Swanage Holiday

Lack of access to a computer meant that I was not able to blog about our holiday antics religiously every day (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!)

If you really want a daily account replete with pics, then you can find it on Keith's blog, as he brought along a laptop and did blog every night!!

Still waiting for him to put all the pics on Picasa but when he does, I'll post a link.

As far as the holiday goes, in a nutshell, it was fantastic!!

The kids and I had a great time. It was lovely to spend such a long period of time with Keith, all our kids and his Mum, Linda. There was the odd bicker-fest between the kids but nothing out of the ordinary really.

Swimming every morning and outings of one sort or another every day (Corfe castle, a swannery, a kids farm, the beach). I cooked most evenings and Linda did breakfast most mornings but we had a few evening meals out and a few lunches out too, which was really nice. Linda treated us all to a fantastic meal out on our last night. It was a lovely end to our week in Swanage.

Keith and I spent a few days where we had the chance to bum around the local shops - there were a few fab hippy/gothy shops and I bought Gemima some warm clothes and found a gorgeous dress for me which I think I will wear around Christmas - athough I may succumb to temptation and wear it to Vendetta before then!! We also found a little shop which sells proper masks - not the kiddy type - the type you'd find at a masked ball. Couldn't resist - they were so reasonbly priced with the cheapest at £3.99 and the most expensive at £14.99! I bought three and a fab little hat which will go with the dress.

We had such a good time. It went far too fast.

A BIG, BIG THANK YOU to Linda for paying for a second caravan. I could not afford it and the kids and I wouldn't have been able to come otherwise. It was so much more appreciated by us than I can possibly describe.

Hopefully we can do it all again next year... I shall start saving now!
