Obstructions And Door Bumps

Got up earlyish to get Gemima ready for School and Aaron and I ready to trek off to SWF to stay with Keith until Monday.

Aaron went downstairs to retrieve his clothes from the dryer as he'd done his laundry last night and put the dryer on before he went to bed.

I heard a few raised voices and then Aaron stomped upstairs with a face like thunder. Turned out that after Nick had come home last night (he went for a walk after his strop and argument with me) he'd turned the dryer off. Consequently all of Aaron's clothes were still wet.

Aaron is convinced that he did it on purpose to make us late this morning.

Took my time getting Gemima and I ready as she doesn't start school until 8:55. Came downstairs with her at about 8:40 to Nick having a grump on the sofa about how he had wanted to leave with her 15 mins ago so he could play ball with her in the playground!

Oh, well excuse me! My psychic Jedi powers appear to have malfunctioned as I did not receive that telepathic message! Neither did Gemima by all accounts!

Mad rush to get her ready - well sort of - got her in the car within about 10 minutes!

Was standing in the open doorway on the passenger side of the car, giving Gemima her reading folder, when Nick blurted out that he was quite capable of taking her to school by himself. When I pointed out that I was not disputing this but that I like to come to her school to say goodbye and see her off, he got really annoyed, shouted at me that he was not having a go at me (the irony was not lost on me!) and then leaned over and tried to shut the car door, with me in the way, in some vain attempt to barge me out of the way with it, shouting at me to move!

Being the stubborn mare that I seem to have become of late, naturally I refused to budge until I was good and ready!
