New Job

After a quick text to my new manager, John, it transpired that the monsters' bout of Chicken Pox was no barrier to me starting work today, so off I trundled, a little nervous but very excited about starting in my new role as Unit Manager.

Spent much of the day reading through policies and procedures, being introduced to staff and trying to absorb some of the information which was doing its best to overload my brain!

Thoroughly knackered by the time I got home - not helped by forgetting to have breakfast and lunch and then getting to Mum's to find that she had not been shopping and there was no food in the fridge there either!

Ah well - will eat tomorrow!
